About Dr. Diana Parra

Where Science Meets Lived Wisdom

I grew up in the mountains of Colombia, surrounded by cloud forest, birdsong, and the kind of silence that teaches you something. That connection to nature and to deep listening has never left me, it runs through everything I do.

Over two decades in public health and academia, I built something rare: rigorous, evidence-based work rooted in real lived experience. I founded a university-wide mindfulness initiative, created a national and international speaker series, and pioneered the integration of mindfulness, cultural humility and anti-racism long before it became part of the mainstream conversation.

Now, I bring that same depth to organizations, communities, and individuals who are ready to move beyond surface-level wellness, into something deeply transformative.

As a first-generation Colombian-American, I carry a cross-cultural perspective that shapes every workshop, program, and offering I create. My work honors both the science of wellbeing and the wisdom of embodied, community-based healing.

    From Awareness to Action: Embodied Mindfulness for Cultural Humility and Collective Healing. Building on the foundational session introducing mindfulness and cultural humility, this second session deepens participants’ capacity to move from individual awareness to embodied practice and relational action.

    Participants will explore how mindfulness can support:

    • Emotional regulation in moments of discomfort

    • Awareness of implicit bias and conditioned responses

    • Engagement across difference with greater presence and compassion

    This session integrates contemplative practices with insights from trauma-informed, anti-racist, and culturally responsive frameworks to support both personal transformation and collective change.

  • A culturally adapted, evidence-based mindfulness journey designed specifically for Latina immigrant women, honoring your story, your language, and your way of healing.

    • MBSR, RAIN, loving-kindness practices

  • An immersive retreat experience bringing together mindfulness, sound healing, conscious movement, and nature, for those ready to step out of autopilot and into deep, embodied presence.

    These sessions are an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your body, and access the kind of stillness that restores. Drawing from over two decades of mindfulness practice, certified yoga instruction, sound healing, and Sōtō Zen tradition, each session is thoughtfully held — whether you come alone or with your community.

    This is not a performance. There is no right way to show up. You are welcome exactly as you are.

    What Each Session Can Include

    Depending on your needs and intentions, sessions weave together:

    • Yoga — gentle, trauma-informed movement that honors your body's wisdom

    • Sound Healing — immersive vibrational practice using singing bowls, gongs and intentional sound to release tension and restore inner balance

    • Guided Meditation — breath-based, somatic, and loving-kindness practices drawn from evidence-based traditions including MBSR and Zen

    Sessions are available in English and Spanish, and are always adapted to your cultural context, lived experience, and personal goals.

    A single 60 or 90-minute session — yoga, sound healing, meditation, or a blend of all three. Ideal for those new to the work or returning after a pause.

    3-Session Bundle — Semillas (Seeds)

    Plant the intention. Begin the journey.

    Three sessions to establish rhythm, build trust, and begin going deeper. A gentle commitment to yourself.

    6-Session Bundle — Raíces (Roots)

    Go deeper. Feel the shift.

    Six sessions to build a real, embodied practice. This is where patterns begin to change, and the body starts to remember what rest and presence feel like.

    • Individual: $405–$675(save up to 10%)

    • Group bundle (6 classes): $120 per person

Resonancia Sagrada is the beginning of something larger. On the horizon: Santuario Colibrí, a nature-based spiritual wellness sanctuary in the Colombian cloud forest, where science, contemplative practice, and deep ecology come together. A place for healing, research, and transformation. Not a hotel, not a typical retreat. A living laboratory for the human spirit.

Named for the hummingbird, a creature that lives in full presence, moving with grace between worlds, Santuario Colibrí will hold space for those who are ready to return to themselves.
